COLOR SORTING
Use colored Legos or colored posicle sticks for sorting by color.
- Provide small cups or small
containers for sorting.
- Estimate total # of items per color.
- Count actual number of items per
color. which one has more/less/
same. Compare to estimate.
- Graph the responses
COLOR - I SPY
- Prior to playing the game, write the color
name e.g. RED, Blue, Green etc. on
a large piece of paper and have the child
color or trace the letters with the
corresponding marker.
- Play "I Spy" Something orange. Give verbal
clues as to what the object could be. Go
through all the colors of the rainbow.
- Child places the found objects on top of the
correct color word.
WATERCOLOR PAINTING
- Paint with watercolors to create a
rainbow.
- Try painting with just red, yellow
and blue to mix the colors and see
happens.
MUSIC & MOVEMENT
